How are dental services covered?
We accept most Medi-Cal/Denti -Cal Plans. Children are covered for all Dental Services; however Medi-Cal dental coverage for adults is limited.
Adults and Children who are not on Medi-Cal and not covered by other health insurance can still seek low-cost dental services through our sliding fee schedule. Fees are payable at time of service. In some cases, payment plans are available.
If you are pregnant or looking to become pregnant, it’s important to know that a preventive dental exam and cleaning are important and fully covered by Medi-Cal insurance; having a dental check-up to assure that no dental decay goes untreated ensures no decay-causing bacteria can be passed on to the baby. Additionally, learning oral health habits for the newborn will help your child start developing health habits at a young age.
AVCC understands that unforeseen emergency situations do arise. To be of service to the community and address dental emergencies, AVCC allows patients to be seen on an unscheduled, walk-in basis. Patients who wish to be seen on a walk-in basis must arrive by 8:00 am at either location. Walk-in appointments are seen on a first come, first serve basis, and are subject to availability and triage. (Note: in some cases patients may need to be referred out to a partnering provider or appointed a scheduled time to return)
